Passion Pit – Carried Away (Dillon Francis Remix)
After getting a behind the scenes look into the production, we now get to hear the full Dillon Francis remix of Passion Pit‘s “Carried Away” in all its ecstatic glory. There’s basically two entirely different moods at play, beginning with the uplifting, vocally diced intro, and ending with what he’s described as “moombahton on acid.” I love how it all comes together.
Video: Serious Dillon Francis Takes You Behind The Scenes of His New Passion Pit Remix
For Sony’s new segment entitled “Art & Science of the Remix,” Dillon Francis takes us through his creative process of remixing Passion Pit’s Gossamer single, “Carried Away.” The seriousness of the video is a little bit weird considering Francis’ usual joking persona, but enlightening all the same.
Passion Pit feat. Juicy J – Constant Conversations (Remix)
The trippiest mane of them all, Juicy J, has hopped on Passion Pit’s Gossamer cut “Constant Conversations” for the most unlikely remix of the year. While rather out of the blue, you’ll be surprised how nicely these opposite ends of the spectrum come together. Listen or download below.

Passion Pit – Carried Away (Tiësto Remix)
Following a series of remixes that include Calvin Harris’ “Sweet Nothing” and Youngblood Hawke’s “We Come Running,” Tiësto gets things started in 2013 by adding his touch to Passion Pit’s “Carried Away.” The happy-go-lucky Gossamer cut has been elevated to anthem status through massive chords and jubilant claps that create a remarkably intoxicating atmosphere.
The music video is just as much fun, as it portrays a group of friends experimenting with a Pixy Stix-esque, body-splitting powder. Watch it below and grab the extended mix on Beatport.
Update: Complete Coachella 2013 Lineup Leak

UPDATE (4/13): Watch the live stream of Coachella weekend 1 here.
UPDATE (1/24): This poster is fake. For the official Coachella 2013 lineup, see HERE.
Following believable (kind of) news that Daft Punk, Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Rolling Stones would be headlining Coachella next year, an entire 2013 lineup has surfaced featuring the aforementioned headliners along with Deadmau5, Missy Elliot, Lana Del Rey, Boys Noize, Fiona Apple, The Prodigy, Passion Pit and The xx and more. The dates have a similar format to last year, and include the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21.
Now, as you’ve likely noticed, Coachella rumors have been a trending topic throughout the blogosphere this year. What we do know for sure is that Coachella announced the official 2012 lineup on Monday, January 9th, meaning regardless if this leak is rumor or reality, the official 2013 details should be revealed shortly.
Hit the break to get your hopes up with the assumed 2013 Coachella lineup, and look for an update as this news circulates into the new year.
UPDATE 1: Archie, gLAdiator and Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman (among other artists) all came out and said they were NOT scheduled to play at Coachella this year, confirming what most of us feared: this lineup is (at least partially) fake. Sorry guys.
UPDATE 2: The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger denys Coachella 2013 rumors.

The Hood Internet – I’ll Be Country (Big K.R.I.T. x Passion Pit)

For everyone who thinks I’ve condemned the mashup, “can you haters say cheese?” The Hood Internet’s new track is a match made in dirty south heaven. Combining Ludacris, Big K.R.I.T., and Bun B’s ”Country Shit” remix with Passion Pit’s ”I’ll Be Alright,” “I’ll Be Country” crosses all sorts of aural boundaries. It merges syrup sippin’ raps with the all out euphoria of the exciting instrumental, and comes out cleaner than a set of chrome 24′s. “I’ll Be Country” will be on repeat for days.
