Plot Twist: R. Kelly “Breaks Off a Lil’ Preview of the Remix” with Phoenix at Coachella
Expecting Daft Punk? Too bad! You got, that’s right, R.-motherfucking-Kelly.
The man who’s been trapped in the closet for longer than I would wish on any man joined Phoenix on stage at Coachella Saturday night, performing mashups of his “Ignition” remix and “I’m a Flirt” with Phoenix’s “1901″ and “Chloroform.” No Tupac hologram, but it was pretty damn epic. Video should be up soon.
UPDATE 1: Video from the crowd has hit YouTube. Note the confusion that slowly turns to excitement, particularly, that one girl who keeps saying, “what, oh my god, whaaat?” in pure disbelief.

Coachella 2013: Weekend 1 Live Stream
Coachella 2013 is underway from Indio, California. If you couldn’t make it out this year, you can still watch a good bit of the festival streaming live on YouTube all weekend. Coachella 2013 Live Stream Schedule (Weekend 1)
As with previous years, Coachella has partnered with YouTube and T-Mobile to bring an expansive streaming experience to music fans unable to attend the California festival. For those of us who plan on watching from home, you’ll want to plan your weekend around the webcast schedule below, which sports over 60 artists to choose from.
Coachella Officially Reveals 2013 Lineup
Finally putting a lid on all the rumors and speculation, Coachella has revealed their official 2013 lineup.
The Stone Roses, Blur, Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers headline, accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Postal Service, The xx, Passion Pit, Bassnectar, Vampire Weekend and Modest Mouse atop the list.
Other notables include Alt-J, Hot Chip, Beach House, TNGHT, Pusha T, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Jessie Ware, Disclosure, The Neighbourhood, Youth Lagoon, Action Bronson, 2 Chainz, Grimes, Yeasayer, Franz Ferdinand, Jurassic 5, Tegan and Sara, Japandriods, Metric, The Lumineers, La Roux, James Blake and Band of Horses.
If you’re in the mood for some EDM after the big Phase 2 Ultra announcement, you’re in luck. Coachella sports a pretty huge dance cast of it’s own including the aforementioned Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Eric Prydz, Knife Party, Infected Mushroom, Wolfgang Gartner, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Modestep, Tommy Trash, Thomas Gold, Dillon Francis, Adrian Lux, Excision, Mimosa, Bingo Players, Major Lazer, Fedde Le Grand and Paul Oakenfold.
The festival will take place over two weekends, April 12th-14th and 19th-21st, at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. View the complete lineup after the break.

UPDATE: COACHELLA OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES 2013 LINEUP
Earlier this morning, the Los Angeles Times posted and immediately removed an article revealing all the major acts performing at Coachella in 2013, naming Daft Punk and Justin Timberlake as headliners, and confirming recent news of The Postal Service’s reunion. From the reading:
Years of hopes and rumors have finally come to fruition, for Daft Punk is set to return to the live stage to close the 2013 edition of the duel-weekend Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

Following believable (kind of) news that Daft Punk, Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Rolling Stones would be headlining Coachella next year, an entire 2013 lineup has surfaced featuring the aforementioned headliners along with Deadmau5, Missy Elliot, Lana Del Rey, Boys Noize, Fiona Apple, The Prodigy, Passion Pit and The xx and more. The dates have a similar format to last year, and include the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21.
Now, as you’ve likely noticed, Coachella rumors have been a trending topic throughout the blogosphere this year. What we do know for sure is that Coachella announced the official 2012 lineup on Monday, January 9th, meaning regardless if this leak is rumor or reality, the official 2013 details should be revealed shortly.

UPDATE 1: Archie, gLAdiator and Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman (among other artists) all came out and said they were NOT scheduled to play at Coachella this year, confirming what most of us feared: this lineup is (at least partially) fake. Sorry guys.
