[Mixtape] Captain Murphy – Duality
While Captain Murphy’s true identity has yet to be officially revealed, the anonymous rapper has finally unleashed his full length mixtape, Duality. Earlier on Twitter, Murphy declared that if would be “obvious” who he really was after hearing the project, adding some people might be mad to find out he’s not a part of Odd Future. Captain Murphy – Immaculation (feat. Azizi Gibson & Jeremiah Jae)
Captain Murphy‘s Duality (or Du∆lity) mixtape was scheduled to drop today before being postponed, so to condole fans the mystery rapper dropped off “Immaculation” for some temporary relief. In the new track, features from Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder associates Azizi Gibson and Jeremiah Jae play over the intro loop of Ecstasy, Passion & Pain’s “Born To Lose You,” furthering the case for Murphy to in fact be FlyLo himself. All will hopefully be revealed after the new Duality release date however, which is now set for November 15th (or possibly sooner).

Inspired by Batman, produced by Flying Lotus, “The Killing Joke” is the latest drop from anonymous rapper Captain Murphy off his impending Du∆lity mixtape. Filled with quotable lines and ominous samples from The Dark Knight, this is probably Murphy’s most narrative single yet.

A TNGHT instrumental finally receives a quality rap version courtesy of the illusive Captain Murphy, who takes on the Hudson Mohawke x Lunice banger “Bugg’n.” Serving as his third YouTube upload, “Shake Weight” leads me to believe Captain Murphy is in fact more than one rapper, but it’s still very unclear.
