Watch Zedd, Foxes & Alvin Risk Perform “Clarity” on the Late Show with David Letterman

Zedd and Foxes Perform Clarity Live on Letterman

Accompanied by live strings and Alvin Risk on background vocals, Zedd and Foxes took to the Late Show with David Letterman for the live network debut of their uber-hit “Clarity.” Opting to move away from the club version of the song, this performance is a pretty big leap for the public perception of electronic music, and shows that the scene is about a little more than raving teens and button-pushing DJs.

Watch the beautiful live rendition below, and find Clarity on iTunes here.

Big Boi – She Hates Me (feat. Kid Cudi)

Big Boi - Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors

While Big Boi preps for the December 11th release of his second solo studio LP, we get a preview of his collaboration with one Kid Cudi for “She Hates Me.” While he doesn’t deliver on a full verse, Scott Mescuchiani (as he refers to himself) does provide plenty of background vocals that surround an absolutely sublime hook that could only be produced by ducidni himself. Check out “She Hates Me,” and find pre-order links for Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors album after the break.

Kendrick Lamar feat. Lady Gaga – Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe (Alternate Version)

kendrick lamar bitch dont kill my vibe

In the anticipation of Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city LP, rumors swirled of a Lady Gaga feature in a song called “Partynauseous,” most likely due to the two stars’ surprisingly close friendship. Due to the vibe not being quite right, we never got that track, as Gaga explained on Tumblr:

I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not [on] his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city. -LG

Fast forward to today, and we get this scrapped demo of “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” featuring proper Lady Gaga vocals. Unlike how Mother Monster phrased that statement above though, this “demo we never got to hear” sounds incredible. Listen below.

The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up (Noisia Remix)

The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up (Noisia Remix)

As I alluded to in the previous post, Noisia is another one of the artists pinned with the seemingly impossible task of helping re-issue The Prodigy’s The Fat of the Land album. Coming in hot off an unlikely remix of Skrillex for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack, Noisia hits the ground running in what most are calling an unmatched interpretation of “Smack My Bitch Up.”

In mind-shattering fashion, the Dutch trio has provided one of those “hear it to believe it” tunes of the year. Stream the almighty full version below and expect the full The Fat of the Land re-release on December 3rd/4th.

UPDATE: XL released the Noisia remix along with the Zeds Dead mix of “Breathe” ahead of schedule in an EP you can pick up on Beatport here.
