Across all my platforms of communication, the submission cycle remains a confused and downright ugly mess, so it’s doubly nice when you get a track that clearly shines through the overcasting shadow of the bad. Taking Loney, Dear‘s “Ignorant Boy, Beautiful Girl,” Italy’s Richard Aardenburg crafts an intelligent and artistic electronic reworking of an already great original track. While both seem to have a poetic essence about them, the Aarden rework seems to have more of a repeatable and addictive quality, which was noticed by Loney, Dear himself.
I did a song like 8 years ago. A note got stuck on the organ and i started singing. This italian guy made a reworked version, and i cannot stop listening.

Porter Robinson being the spontaneous 19 (soon to be 20) year old he is, gave away four of his short but effective live edits and bootlegs on Tuesday as a result of the fan vote being too close to call to release just one. The “Spitfire” VIP and “Some Chords” mashup are my favorites, but I’m sure you DJ’s and producers can find uses for all of these well executed “thingies.” Grab the whole pack together with a couple of clicks through the link below.

As a thank you for hitting 3000 likes on Facebook, Lenno is giving out his remix of “40K Volts” for free. Originally designed for a Finnish Nike video, it’s quite a turnaround from the Gracias x JTT x Eboi original, taking the slow synth-backed rap and injecting an infectious dance vibe that fits the summer season perfectly.

As we inch closer to the release of Don’t Flatter Yourself, D-WHY continues his steady supply of new material with “Killa.” Utilizing the classic Cam’ron beat from “What Means the World to You,” D exemplifies his entire persona throughout the new song, crafting intelligent and at times jaw dropping lyricism behind the luxurious and classy visuals delivered by Jakob Owens (who you may remember from “We Don’t Know“). With Jennifer Martinez acting as a rather delicious cherry on top, it’s safe to say “Killa” is an all around top shelf summer jam.

If you remember seeing this track posted back in January, it’s because you did. Unfortunately, that early leak reduces the hype factor for NERVO’s “You’re Gonna Love Again,” but make no mistake, it’s still a song you should have in your library. The new version sports a cleaner, obviously higher quality final product than the download I posted back at the beginning of the year, so make the swap if you prefer, but look out for this Avicii-esque piano anthem to be much more of a force now that it’s been officially released.

Most known for her vocal contribution to Flight Facilities “Crave You,” Australia’s Giselle Rosselli made her solo debut back on April 13th with “Silk.” As the name implies, the song you encounter is blissful, smooth and minimal, relying on the angelic voice of Rosselli to carry you through a dreamscape of sound.
Accompanying the original are a couple of nice remixes from Cosmic Kids and Ianborg who put a more electronic twist on the track, giving it a spacey retro feel and a chopped up dubstep tempo respectively. You can find the original on iTunes and grab both the remixes for free after the break.
