We first heard that there would be Daft Punk remixes of Daft Punk in the recent Pete Tong interview, but in the latest edition of Mixmag Global, Guy and Thomas revealed plans to release their own “Get Lucky” remix by the end of June. Furthermore, the duo was excited by the fact others have already begun reworking Random Access Memories, going as far as encouraging more people to do so. Here’s the full quote:
If you liked the reduxed version of “Atmosphere,” you’re going to love the redux mix of Kaskade’s “Raining” from Raddon’s own Late Night Alumni side project. The Adam K and Sunsun-assisted original is one of the most recognizable tunes in the Kaskade arsenal, so this deep house remix not only made sense for the up close and personal Redux Tour, but is also a welcomed addition to any fan’s current catalog. Officially, the Julian EP release included remixes from Martin Dubka, Lissvik, Monsieur Adi and Checan, but today, Say Lou Lou have offered up three more outstanding mixes of the track for free download. In the bundle you get the previously posted uplifted rework from The Chainsmokers, as well two sexy, deep mixes from Sydney’s Lancelot and Stockholm’s HNNY (appropriate locations given Say Lou Lou’s upbringing). If not the best of the entire bunch, these two “Julian” remixes end up as high favorites, both bringing an unmatched amount of pure house groove appropriate for an intimate Summer night. Grab them both below.
The Chainsmokers have hit my Say Lou Lou sweet spot with their new remix of the Swedish-Australian duo’s most recent single, “Julian.” They stick with their patented indie-dance formula here, but also allow the original vibe to mellow the energy ever so slightly. It’s a combination that they really explain best:
As one of the fastest rising electronic acts in the last year, Vicetone have continued to prove with each new track that they are most definitely a force to be reckoned with. For their latest, the Dutch duo are bridging the dance-pop gap with a remix of Matthew Koma‘s catchy “One Night” number.
Remixes of Lana Del Rey‘s ”Young and Beautiful” have been piling up on SoundCloud at an alarming rate over the past couple of weeks. Since posting the Kulkid remix, I’ve bit my tongue on about six more in hopes that one supreme mix would arise to outshine the rest, and today I think we’ve finally found our man.
Marcus Schossow’s shimmery “Summer” house rework channels all the nostalgic emotion emitted from the Great Gatsby original, resulting in a warm and uplifting festival crowd please that should make its rounds for months to come. Listen in full and grab a free download below.
