Audien – Ciao (Original Mix)

Audien is definitely trying to tell us something with his fourth original mix in six months, “Ciao.” Using both a name and massive drop similar to last Fall’s “Sup,” the Connecticut producer continues to welcome himself into the progressive house arena. This track brings together that explosive, danceable sound with the more melodic trance he’s often recognized for bringing to the table, easily lending itself to summer festivals. Daft Punk – Aerodynamic (Specimen A & James D’ley Refix)

Throwback Thursday is in full effect with this vitalizing remix of Daft Punk’s “Aerodynamic” from Specimen A & James D’ley. Released over a year ago and not included among my 16 Free Remixes of Daft Punk You Should Download Right Now, this mix really takes the “dynamic” in “Aerodynamic” to heart with it’s constantly shifting electro house and drumstep tempos. As far as reworking Daft Punk instrumentals go, I’d say it doesn’t get much more fun than this. That drop at 1:27? Too good.

Empire Of The Sun – Alive (Zedd Remix)

Riding high on the success of his debut Clarity album, Zedd makes his return to the studio with an official remix of Empire Of The Sun‘s new single, “Alive.” The multi-faceted electro house effort makes the most of the enchanting original mix, showing off all the best things we loved about a number of previous Zedd productions. His mix will be out May 21 alongside this previously posted remix from M4SONIC, with Empire Of The Sun’s Ice On the Dune due out June 18.

M4SONIC is back with a new launchpad video, this time taking official remix duties for Empire Of The Sun’s new single, “Alive.” It’s got a much different feel than some of his electro-heavy efforts like “Weapon” or “Virus,” but fits all the more nicely with the Empire Of The Sun original. Caveat, born Carlos Lizarraga, a 17 year old from San Diego with “too much time on his hands,” has been one of the more intriguing artists to follow over the last year or so. Mainly because I’m not sure why he isn’t more popular, especially with official remixes for Dada Life, Martin Solveig, and now Bingo Players, the latter of which is simply insane, and is featured here.
