As is the case with Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories, buzz for Kanye West‘s forthcoming unnamed album is hotter than hot right now, and last night during Poland’s Free Form Festival, G.O.O.D. Music signee Hudson Mohawke heightened the anticipation by dropping two new unreleased tracks.
While neither song is confirmed to appear on Kanye’s album (although we can assume), I’m loving what I’m hearing, and I can’t say that I’ve ever repeated a distorted, bass-blasted crowd recording as much as I found myself doing here. Dare I say the first track has a certain French electronic flair to it? The second, as Pitchfork points out, has some outstanding qualities of its own:
There’s leaders and there’s followers but I’d rather be a dick than a swallower.
I can almost assure you these will get removed from YouTube soon, so listen while you can.
