The 10 Best Remixes of Zedd’s “Clarity”

Zedd Clarity Remixes

Like “Spectrum” in 2012, Zedd’s “Clarity” has been remixed to the point of no return. The official 13-track package was so large it needed two separate release dates, and after you tack on the countless attempts uploaded to SoundCloud as part of Interscope’s remix competition, the best tracks start to blur together in a pool of dreaded remix overload.

In hopes of bringing some clarity to the situation, I’ve put together a list of the 10 best “Clarity” remixes the Internet has to offer.

Honorable Mentions:

To get things started, here are my honorable mentions. These three remixes from FTampa, Fareoh and Anndyk were all on my big “Clarity” remix board, but didn’t quite convince me they were one of the ten best.

Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (FTampa Remix)

Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Fareoh Remix)

Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Anndyk Remix)

10. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Moiez Remix)

Starting the countdown we’ve got the 20 year-old Canadian Moiez Babar, who you may remember provided a stunning take on Hardwell’s “Apollo” back in December. More of the same quality here, only in more of a high-octane electro house form.

9. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Aylen Remix)

In all honesty, Aylen’s remix should probably be higher, but unfortunately I’ve fallen a bit out of favor with dubstep recently. If you’re looking for a few extra melodic womps with your “Clarity” though, this one’s for you.

8. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Roy Rosenfeld Remix)

If tech house was a bit more popular, you’d probably see Roy Rosenfeld’s remix in the top 5. Since it’s not, this sleeper among the official remixes falls to number 8.

7. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Walden Remix)

Just joining the “Clarity” remix gauntlet today is Australia’s Walden, who clocks in at number 7 on the countdown with his release via Dancing Astronaut. It’s tough to join the field late after essentially everything has been thrown at this track and still come up with something fresh, but Walden proves once again that he’s not your average 18 year old.

6. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Funkagenda Remix)

Funkagenda gets subaqueous for his pounding electrogressive “Clarity” remix, earning the number 6 slot on my list. It’s hard to argue with the sheer force at which this one hits you, and while probably not for everyone, I’m a huge fan.

5. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Brillz Remix)

Ah, I bet you were wondering where the trap version was going to find it’s home on the top ten. “Clarity” is certainly not the most obvious song you’d think would befit an 808 injection, but Brillz proves otherwise. His remix goes off in a big, big way.

4. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Torro Torro Remix)

If I had decided to make this list based purely off personal preference, I’d probably be naming Torro Torro’s remix number 1. Something about that drop gets me every time, but I think the 4th stop is appropriate for Toronto-based duo’s official mix.

3. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Vicetone Remix)

Released almost 3 months ago, Vicetone’s remix has stood the test of time and locked itself in as one of the most highly favorited remixes of “Clarity” out there. It was supported by Nicky Romero on his Protocol radio on it’s way to racking up nearly half a million plays on YouTube and SoundCloud, and hasn’t looked back since. Beautiful work from a duo that’s on the fast track to the top.

2. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Zedd Union Mix)

Leave it up to Zedd himself to create one of the best “Clarity” remixes around. His “Union Mix” breaks the song down to it’s orchestral composition, allowing Foxes powerful top line to shine through and create an awesome contrast to it’s electronic counterpart.

1. Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Tom Budin Remix)

Confused by many as an official remix from deadmau5 (for obvious reasons), this glorious effort from 16 year-old Tom Budin is more than deserving of the number 1 spot. If the deadmau5 tendencies don’t already have you hooked, the way this deep 8-minute 52-second remix plays off Foxes’ vocals will leave you speechless.
