Video: How to Dance to Trap Music

In a world where trap music’s torch has been passed from street corner drug hustlers to kandi-coated fist-pumping ravers, the Double Dream Hands guy has become the definition of how to dance to the omnipresent genre. The instructional visuals (clearly created by white people) sync up a few recognizable bangers with our dude John Jacobson and choreography from his now famous Double Dream Feet sequel.
Watch the video after the break, and take note of the dream feet to rubber legs combo drop around 1:50…that’s his best move.
ON AN ON – The Hunter

Chicago trio ON AN ON won everyone’s ears over a few months back with the release of their debut single “Ghosts,” only to follow up this month in equally mesmerizing fashion with “The Hunter.” If you’re looking for something to get lost in on a crisp night like tonight, believe me when I say that you’re in the right place at the right time.
Both “Ghosts” and “The Hunter” are from ON AN ON’s forthcoming Give In album, set for release on January 29, 2013 via Roll Call Records. If there is anything to predict from only listening to these two tracks, it is that Give In will be both one of the most haunting and most beautiful albums to start the year off with.

BT & Au5 – Partysaurus Overflow (From “Partysaurus Rex”)

Since sharing Pixar’s new EDM-themed and BT-scored short film “Partysaurus Rex” back in October, I’d been secretly hoping for an actual release of the music featured in the six minute clip. On Monday, it seems my dreams partially came true, as a track co-produced by BT and Au5 that was inspired by the animation (not the actual tune featured) was released by Walt Disney Records / Pixar.

Disclosure feat. Ria Ritche – Control (Kastle Remix)

Similar in style to his recent Frank Ocean remix, Kastle has brought the 808 out to play in a sexy new remix of Disclosure’s Ria Ritchie-featuring standout, “Control.” The San Francisco native melts the bubbly UK original down to star in an R&B-lover’s fantasy, complete with augmented vocals, rolling hi-hats, and a synthy solo to float off with at the tail end. The best part? It’s free.
