Mark Foster, A-Trak & Kimbra – Warrior (What So Not Remix)
.jpg)
Since opening my eyes through their acclaimed Major Lazer remix, the duo of Flume and Emoh Instead together as What So Not has been on a tear. Remixes for Parachute Youth, Peking Duk and Airwolf have all lead up to this official mix of Mark Foster, A-Trak and Kimbra Converse collab track “Warrior” that simply blows the roof off the original song.
Steel drums and bombing bass connect beneath the wavering Foster and Kimbra vocals for blended mix of genres settling at 110 beats per minute. Currently putting the final touches on their 2nd EP, What So Not should have even more tunes right around the corner.

The-Dream – Shawty Is Da Shit (Giraffage Remix)

Staying up late the last few nights has been paying off, as it seems some of my favorite artists are hooking us up with new tunes in the after midnight hours here in the East. Stepping up tonight is San Francisco’s Giraffage, who gives The-Dream’s bedroom classic “Shawty Is Da Shit” a bit of beatific R&B love with a soothing remix. Having already rinsed this one at least ten times in the past hour, I can confidently recommend adding it to your afterparty collection. Free download below.

Disney’s new animated film Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters November 2nd, and as goes the trend in film these days, the soundtrack has a bit of EDM flair courtesy of Skrillex and Noisia. As if that was enough, Sonny is also set to make a cameo appearance in the film alongside some of your video game favorites like Sonic, Bowser, and Frogger. Quite the crowd indeed… Here’s what Noisia had to say about their contribution to the movie:
Our buddy Skrillex asked us to do a remix of his part of the ‘Wreck-it Ralph’ movie. We really liked the project and were happy to contribute. Most importantly though, we were in a disco mood. – Noisia
Although the original “Bug Hunt” from Skrillex isn’t included in the official tracklisting, you can grab Noisia’s dangerously catchy remix along with the rest of the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack on iTunes now.
Dillon Francis – Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)

Released today on Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye Records is Dillon Francis’ latest moombahton massive, “Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up).” Considering Dillon’s recent hot streak that includes a “Finale” remix for Madeon, “Here 2 China” with Dizzee Rascal, and a funky fresh mix of Monsta’s “Where Did I Go” with Kill Paris, I’d say the new banger is aptly titled. Listen in full below and get “Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)” on Beatport or iTunes.
