Trails and Ways – Sure Thing (Miguel Cover)

Trails and Ways held down the number one spot on Hype Machine yesterday with their cover of R&B slow jam “Sure Thing,” by Miguel. The T&W crew, out of Oakland, put their own bossa nova spin on the track with far off vocals and hazy guitar riffs, featured over an aural thunderstorm that creates a post-modern Sade, Lovers Rock feel. The effect is calming, yet catchy, making for the ideal winding-down-after-a-long-day soundtrack.
