London Grammar – Wasting My Years (Star Slinger Remix)
Star Slinger has linked up with London Grammar for one of four official remixes of their new single, “Wasting My Years.” Unlike some of his more recent energetic productions though, this track takes a route similar to his “Icypoles” and “Texico Bitches” remixes, utilizing the heavenly nature of the original vocals and slicing them up to match his twinkling soundscapes. Stream below and grab the entire EP on iTunes.

ASTR – Operate (The Chainsmokers Remix)
The Chainsmokers continue to impress, not only with their capability, but also their taste in song selection. This week’s remix takes on ASTR, an exciting New York duo who I threw under the SIS Spotlight back in May. As their true debut single, “Operate” isn’t exactly the first song that comes to mind for a Chainsmokers remix, but as the story usually goes, they’ve flipped it into a characteristically addictive, bouncy indie-house choon with a capital CH. Here’s an important note from the boys:
Quickie from our slutty friend Amanda about the song: “I already had sex with a guy to the original, I cant wait to have sex to this remix…”
And there you have it.

Blackstreet – No Diggity (Bondax Edit)
Bondax can do no wrong, and their new remix of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” is a prime example. Taking a song that’s a given for every “top songs of the 90s” list and successfully giving it a fresh coat of paint is no easy task, but the tropical touch of this unstoppable Lancaster duo is just enough to revive this classic for unlimited Summer 2013 rotation. Grab a free download below.

Astrud Gilberto – Fly Me To The Moon (Kaskade Remix)
Having just recieved Toro Y Moi’s contribution to this project, we now get to hear what Kaskade has to offer on Verve’s intriguing new compilation album, Verve Remixed: The First Ladies. The original song being remade in this instance is Astrud Gilberto’s 1964 rendition of “Fly Me To The Moon,” a classic most popularly associated with Frank Sinatra and its original writer, Bart Howard (fun fact: it was also played on the moon during the Apollo 11 landing). For his remix, Kaskade brings the tune up to 2013 speed with heavenly progressive house touches and an entrancing cosmic groove. Take a listen below.
M.I.A. – Bring The Noize
As just premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, here’s the long-awaited lead single off M.I.A.‘s forthcoming Matangi album, “Bring The Noize.” If you were hoping for more of what you heard on “Bad Girls“ though, you may be a little disappointed with this one. “Bring The Noize” is more of a frantic tribal dance anthem (produced by Switch and Surkin) that sees M.I.A. channel her inner Die Antwoord meets Azealia Banks for some borderline schizophrenic lyricism. Stream below, buy tomorrow, and look for the music video from Noisey on June 21.
